Gyron FS
The Gyron FS parlays the
technology developed for the Gyron 935 and
Gyron HiDef into a system for motion picture
aerial cinematography.
Originally developed as
a remote head for ground-based cinematography,
the Gyron FS utilizes an assortment of gyros
in various arrangements
for stability.
The head also presents a
new technology in this medium in the way of
magnetic resistence for additional stabilization.
As mentioned this head was
initially developed for ground-based shooting
and as such can be mounted on insert cars and
cranes. For aerial use the head is fitted with
a wind shroud to protect the inner pan and
tilt from wind-induced movement.
The system can be flown
open-architecture to accommodate other camera/lens
combinations, but is not recommended as standard
practice.
