Neil Looy's Cessna Nose
Mount
The Cessna 414 Nose Mount
provides a more economical
fixed-wing alternative to the Learjet for forward
POV
photography
where visible horizon banking is desirable.
The Cessna also fills a performance gap between
the high performance Lear and the relatively
slower moving helicopter platforms. With airspeeds
ranging from 70 mph to 200 mph, this aircraft
can achieve flight altitudes of up to 30,000
ft. This particular 414 nose mount will accept
a variety of cameras including the large IMAX™ and
ShowScan™ varieties. Cameras are controlled
remotely via an operator's workstation inside
the cabin. The mount provides tilt from +5° to
-20° relative to the aircraft's pitch.
